MY EPIPHANY
A Short Film by Nichelle Nelson

From near-death to divine clarity.
Now it’s your turn to have an epiphany.

How Obedience Became a Visual Testimony

“My Epiphany” was not planned - it was assigned. In 2017, I survived a near-death experience due to anaphylactic shock. That breath… that moment… changed everything. God gave me the words to a poem, and in the months that followed, He gave me the vision to bring that poem to life on screen. But it would take me almost 2 years for me to give God my yes and be obedient.

This short film is my surrender, my story, and my offering. I created it not for applause, but so that someone, somewhere would know they’re not alone. That God still breathes purpose into broken places.

I pray that as you watch, you feel HIS presence — and know that your life, too, has a divine meaning.

About the Film

My Epiphany is a poetic short film born from a near-death encounter that became a divine assignment. It tells the story of survival, surrender, and spiritual clarity. Told by a woman who gave God her yes.

Through spoken word and quiet visual power, it invites viewers to reflect on their own journey back to purpose.

“It wasn’t about the lights or the awards - it was about the people God touched through this testimony.”

Faith-Based Film Nominee

“I was honored to be nominated for Best Faith-Based Short Film at the Queen City Culture Film Festival in Charlotte, NC. While I didn’t take home the trophy, I received something far greater — testimonies from strangers who saw themselves in this story. That’s the win.”
